FDI investment climate in Hungary compared to other countries
The presentation will be based on the IBM Global CFO Study and the IBM Global
Location Trends Annual Report.
The CFO Study is one of a series IBM conducts with select senior executives.
The 2010 study is the fourth IBM has conducted biennially to capture
issues, strategies and best practices of CFOs. To complete the study, more
than 1,900 CFOs and Finance executives were interviewed, which makes it the
largest study of its kind. There was also a special report created to analyse
responses of the Hungary-based participants of the study. To read more about
the IBM Global CFO Study, please click here.
The Global Location Trends report by IBM Global Business Services outlines how
the changes caused by the recent turbulence in the world economy are
reflected in the most recent trends in corporate location decisions, and
ascertains their implications for the global economic landscape and the
investment attraction and retention efforts of cities, regions, and countries.
As in previous years, the analysis is based on data from IBM’s Global
Investment Locations Database (GILD), which continuously records investment
project announcements around the world. Currently containing information for
over 100,000 investment projects recorded since 2003, GILD allows very detailed
insight into global trends in corporate location decision making. To read more
about the IBM Global Location Trends Annual Report, please click here.
Key findings of the study with special focus on the position of Hungary
compared to its competitors will be discussed and some Hungary specific results
not published in the study will be also shared.
The presentation will be followed by a reception.
